Life as an English-Speaking Expat in St. Gallen

St. Gallen is a smaller city with a concentrated international layer (the HSG) floating on top of a very Swiss-German base. The dialect is distinctive (Sankt-Gallerdütsch), the geography is tucked between the Säntis and Lake Constance, and everyday integration is harder than in cosmopolitan Zürich simply because there are fewer international options.
